What to do with a

Flat tire?

It is important that you can repair a flat tire yourself. These instructions will help you with this and explain step by step how to proceed. If you can't do it alone, it's common among cyclists to help each other. Show passing cyclists that you need their help.

A flat tire is no reason to call our service number!

1. Open saddlebag
In the saddle bag directly under the bike saddle, you will find all the necessary tools and a suitable replacement tube.
2. Remove the plug-in axle
When removing the rear wheel, the chain must be on the front of the small chainring and on the far right back of the sprocket. By pulling out the lever on the plug-in axle, the position can be changed to make gripping easier. Some plug-in axles can only be removed with the Allen wrench provided.
3. Wheel removal
Attention with disc brakes, the brake must no longer be applied when the wheel is removed. Otherwise, the brake shoes close and the wheel cannot be reinstalled!
4. Release remaining air
Open the valve and release any remaining air in the tire.
5. Push tires into the rim bed
Use your thumbs to push the tire off the rim wheel into the center of the rim (rim bed).
6. Remove coat
With the help of the tire levers, the tire can now be lifted over the rim flanks. Start opposite the valve.
7. Remove the hose
Remove the faulty tube from under the tire and release the valve from the rim bed.
8. Check the cause of the coat
Visually check the outside of the tire and with your fingertip for sharp objects.
9. Easily inflate a new hose
Use the air pump on the bike to easily inflate the new hose.
10. Insert a new hose
First insert the valve through the rim and then insert the tube under the tire. Make sure the hose isn't bent or twisted.
11. Insert tires
Starting from the valve, pull the tire over the rim. Check again and again whether the tire is in the rim bed across the entire width of the rim. This is the only way it can be lifted completely over the rim flank.
12. Inflate the hose
Inflate the tube so hard that pressure from the inside, out of the rim bed, pushes the tire back onto the rim (this often makes a soft “pop” sound). The tire sits correctly on the rim when it runs and doesn't “egg”.
13. Insert wheel
Pull back the rear derailleur and slide the wheel with the cassette between the upper and lower chain lines.
14. Insert plug-in axle
Insert the plug-in axle and tighten it again with the Allen wrench.
15. Clean up
Put the tools back in the saddlebag and dispose of the defective hose.
Have a good journey!
