The coastal hike starts at Galería 19 Mallorca Norte in Playa de Muro and leads between the Albufera Nature Park and the Bay of Alcúdia to Can Picafort, partly over sandy trails. From there, it's along the beach promenade to San Bauló. The trail continues between sea and dune landscape to Son Serra de Marina, past historic sites, including 109 graves from the 7th to 1st century BC. This necropolis of Son Real impresses with its unique buildings, such as Navetas and Talaiots. 168 people, presumably members of the upper class, were buried here in fetal position. Some burial chambers have holes, possibly for offerings or as “soul holes.” Most monuments face southeast. There are three horseshoe-shaped burial caves on the nearby Illot des Porros, and another cave is located inland. The necropolis remains a mystery as the associated settlement is unknown. This mystical site is only accessible on foot. The hike will end at the El Sol restaurant on the sandy beach of Son Serra de Marina, ideal for relaxing on the sun terrace.
